Nitro bubbles create a cascading effect, change the texture of the beverage and make the beverage smooth, creamy to taste with a soft foamy head
What is NitroBrew
Nitrogen is a transparent, odourless and inert gas. A beverage infused with Nitrogen gas is called a “Nitro beverage”. (Not to be confused with Liquid Nitrogen which is used for making ice creams etc.) During Nitrogenation millions of tiny Nitrogen bubbles are infused in the beverage under pressure. Beside creating a visual treat in terms of a cascading effect, the tiny bubbles change the texture of the beverage, making the drink smooth, creamy to taste with a soft foamy head (like a beer head).
NitroBrew is a portable, simple, easy to use, plug & play equipment to Nitrogenate any chilled beverage. A NitroBrew kit, made in USA, consists of just three components, which together weigh under 5 kg:
- a handsome kettle,
- a discreet charging station and
- a small oil-free air compressor
The system is flexible and expandable- one compressor and charging station can serve upto six kettles. It occupies negligible space and gives flexibility to Nitro up to 350 ml per serving of a wide variety of beverages such as cocktails, coffees, beers, juices, clear soups, iced-teas etc. NitroBrew is suitable for bars, pubs, cafes and restaurants apart from home use.
Advantages of NitroBrew
Traditionally, Nitrogenation of a beverage is done by a keg based system wherein the beverage is filled in the keg and connected to a nitrogen cylinder via the kegerator. A special tap then dispenses the nitro beverage under pressure. This system requires a dedicated keg for each beverage and so typically a F&B outlet can nitro only a limited number beverages; e.g. if an outlet wishes to Nitrogenate six beverages- stout, pale ale, cold brew coffee, Negroni, Manhattan and Espresso Martini, they will need six dedicated kegs, kegerators, taps and cylinders, each. Given the limited space availability, offering a large number of beverages on Nitro with such a keg based system becomes difficult. That’s why very few outlets offer Nitro beverages and even those that do, typically restrict it to a few beers or cold brew coffee. With such systems, there are the added costs of buying, transporting and storing Nitrogen cylinders, high power costs and substantial investment.
NitroBrew, on the other hand enables you to nitrogenate a wide range of beverages without kegs, kegerators, taps or nitrogen cylinders. This patented system captures free nitrogen from the air thereby ensuring virtually nil maintenance and running costs on consumables. A single NitroBrew kit can nitrogenate multiple beverages thereby saving on space and costs required for keg based systems under the traditional system.
Nitrogen bubbles are extremely tiny and stable, they remain trapped as a tight, creamy head of foam and change the weight of the beverage, allowing for easier layered pours. Nitro beers have been tricky even for experienced brewers no matter how sophisticated their equipment. The precise balance of nitrogen and carbon-dioxide in a nitrogenated beer determines the nitro experience. NitroBrew takes out all the guesswork. You get a dependable mix of nitrogen and carbon dioxide with every pour.
